Each year we are very fortunate to have one of our members host a fun 4th of July social event for our community and friends. From a yummy potluck dinner to fireworks on the golf course, each year is a treat. As Judy T. would say, “I love us!”
We had a terrific turn-out this weekend at our fundraiser concert for our kids programs. John Stringer and his wife Kathy put on a beautiful show hosted by our very own Board President, Linda Wendt. The atmosphere was great with a nice casual spread of lawn chairs and picnic tables facing a small stage area where John performed, with plenty of food and drink for all. John played a wonderfully heartfelt show. And even Samson the dog got in on the evening’s events.
We all had a great evening and raised funds for the growth of our children’s program. Thanks, John and Kathy for making this wonderful evening possible and also thank you, Linda, for hosting such a beautiful evening!
Well, we’ve been at The Open Mind Center about a month now and are really enjoying playing with the space to find the best layout for our services. Here are a few more photos of our journey so far in the new building. There’s not much better than the looks of joy and connection present in almost every photo. We truly are a blessed community.
We are loving our new space at The Open Mind Center. It’s cozy and comfortable, and a perfect location to continue our One World gatherings. Now, we begin the process of settling in to the new rooms and making it our new community home. With gratitude and thanksgiving we celebrate the opportunity to come together in this place; and we hold the intention of joyful expectancy as we prepare for the next chapter in the unfolding of our community. Spirit is good.
